Lucha Rodríguez’s work is a transitional tool to open ourselves to experiences and levels of awareness. It challenges perception and dimensionality through distortion and illusion. There is a disturbance from the proper original state of the material with a constant plane to space movement. Openness towards the multiplication of existing planes and the complete fusion of material and image. The constant need to reveal the presence of the in-between space to explore deeper layers of materiality and luminosity.

During her career, Rodríguez has been featured in group and solo exhibitions in the U.S. and internationally in India, Mexico, China, and France. Her work is included in permanent collections such as The High Museum of Art, Modern and Contemporary Art Collection; and The Bascom Center for Visual Arts. Rodríguez has been artist-in-residence at ChaNorth, Vermont Studio Center, MASS MoCA, and Wassaic Project.
